FWAA unveils 25th Anniversary Freshman All-America Team
Two true freshman starters from Miami who will play in Monday’s College Football Playoff National Championship Game, an Ohio State backfield duo and seven other players who were members of this year’s playoff field highlight the 32-man roster of the 2025 Freshman All-America Team presented by Chris Doering Mortgage and awarded by the Football Writers Association of America.
Indiana, Ohio State dominate 2025 FWAA All-America Team presented by the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic
The 2025 Football Writers Association of America All-America Team presented in partnership with the Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic has two repeat All-Americans and 23 players on teams competing in the College Football Playoff at the front of players from 33 different schools. Players from the Big Ten and SEC make up 32 – more than half – of the 54-member team with nine of the Football Bowl Subdivision conferences represented plus an Independent.

Hawaii's Pupunu nominated for Orange Bowl Courage Award
Hawaii’s Karsyn Pupunu is this week’s nominee for the 2023 Capital One Orange Bowl-FWAA Courage Award. Pupunu, a native of Lahaina, Maui, lost four family members in the August wildfire in Maui, which was the deadliest wildfire in the United States in more than a century.
