After leading Coastal Carolina to the greatest season in program history, including its first-ever trip to the 2016 College World Series, CCU's Gary Gilmore has been named to National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association National Coach of the Year.

LSU'S MAINIERI IS 2015 NCBWA COACH OF THE YEAR

Highly successful head coach Paul Mainieri of LSU was tabbed as the 2015 National College Baseball Writers Association Coach of the Year by the organization at a national media conference on Saturday, June 13, at TD Ameritrade Park. Mianieri is the eighth recipient of the annual award that is voted upon by the NCBWA Board of Directors.

UC IRVINE'S GILLESPIE IS 2014 NCBWA COACH OF THE YEAR

One of college baseball's most accomplished skippers, UC Irvine's Mike Gillespie, was tabbed as the 2014 National College Baseball Writers Association Coach of the Year by the association at a national media conference on Saturday, June 14, at TD Ameritrade Park. Gillespie is the seventh recipient of the annual award that is voted upon by the NCBWA Board of Directors.

INDIANA'S SMITH IS 2013 NCBWA COACH OF THE YEAR

Indiana head coach Tracy Smith collected some individual hardware in Omaha before his Hoosiers play their first College World Series game in program history on Saturday night against Louisville. Smith was named the sixth recipient of the 2013 National College Baseball Writers Association Coach of the Year on Saturday morning in a vote by the NCBWA board of directors.
