DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 27th year with its 2024 weekly surveys.
Oregon State moves to No. 1 for the first time this spring after finishing 4-0 last week. Arkansas led a group of four Southeastern Conference teams in the top five in second place, a season-best in the NCBWA poll.
Some of the big movers from week three to week four were Duke from No. 10 to 7 after downing previous No. 1 Wake Forest twice in three games, North Carolina from No. 14 to 11, NC State from No. 15 to 12 and 16-1 Georgia from receiving votes in the last two polls to No. 25.
There have been 11 conferences (eight this week) represented in the first four standings of 2024, and there were 15 different conferences in the 2023 NCBWA polls.

Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters and publicists of the sport. Members receive a membership card, directory, newsletter updates and official votes in the Dick Howser Trophy, Regional Players of the Year and NCBWA All-America voting. The NCBWA also sponsors Division I Players of the Week, the Stopper of the Year, and publication and writing contests.
