Arkansas (17-2) tops NCBWA Division I Poll

DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 27th year with its 2024 weekly surveys.

Arkansas, currently carrying a winning streak of 13 games and a 17-2 overall record, has become the third different school to top the NCBWA polls this spring. Wake Forest and Oregon State previously held the top position.

Some of the big movers from Week Four to Week Five are Clemson from No. 8 to 3, Vanderbilt from No. 10 to 4, Alabama from No. 13 to 8, Florida from No. 15 to 10, Florida State from No. 19 to 11 and Campbell, Kentucky, UC Santa Barbara, Oklahoma, and Mississippi State from receiving votes into the Nos. 19-24 slots.

There have been 11 conferences (nine this week) represented in the first four standings of 2024, and there were 15 different conferences in the 2023 NCBWA polls.

The 2024 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. The ’24 season features 305 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools.
