Arkansas (23-3) tops NCBWA Division I Poll

DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 27th year with its 2024 weekly surveys.

Arkansas is No. 1 for the third consecutive week while Texas A&M climbed to a season-high No. 3 ranking. Indiana State, of the Missouri Valley Conference, made its 2024 debut at No. 25 while Big Ten Conference power Nebraska also is in its first ’24 survey at No. 23.

Some of the big movers from week six to week seven were Vanderbilt from No. 9 to 6, North Carolina from No. 11 to 7, DBU from No. s12 to 8, Duke from No. 13 to 9, Florida State from No. 15 to 12, Alabama from No. 17 to 14, Kentucky from No. 20 to 15 and NC State 
from No. 25 to 19, among others.

There have been 12 conferences (10 this week) represented in the first seven standings of 2024, and there were 15 different conferences in the 2023 NCBWA polls.

The 2024 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. The ’24 season features 305 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools.
