Florida junior catcher Mike Zunino is the 26th recipient of the Dick Howser Trophy, presented by Easton Foundations, as college baseball's player of the year. The presentation was made Friday morning as part of a news conference at TD Ameritrade Park with several other 2012 national honors being denoted.

Stony Brook head coach Matt Senk, whose 22nd edition literally "shocked the world (and the whole baseball community)" by advancing to the 66th annual NCAA Division I College World Series for the first time in school history, is the fifth recipient of the 2012 National College Baseball Writers Association Coach of the Year Award.
