Notre Dame's Hidalgo headlines USBWA's women's weekly honors

For the period through Sunday, Feb. 22, the five Ann Meyers Drysdale national women’s honorees of the week are Rice guard Hailey Adams; Iowa center Ava Heiden; Notre Dame guard Hannah Hidalgo; TCU guard Olivia Miles; and South Carolina center Madina Okot. The Tamika Catchings freshman of the week is USC guard Jazzy Davidson, and the team of the week is Clemson.

OGWUMIKE, BOSTON ARE USBWA WOMEN'S NATIONAL, FRESHMAN PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

For the season's 13th U.S. Basketball Writers Association Ann Meyers Drysdale Women's National Player of the Week and the organization's Tamika Catchings women's freshman player honor, Rice guard Erica Ogwumike is national player while South Carolina forward Aliyah Boston for the second time this season has been chosen for the freshman citation after each helped their teams go unbeaten ending the week of Monday, Feb. 10.
