DALLAS (NCBWA) – The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association released its NCAA Division II National Players of the Week awards for the week ending on March 5, 2023. Emory & Henry senior outfielder Tyler Bradley is the National Hitter of the Week and Shepherd sophomore hurler Trevor Sharp is the National Pitcher of the Week.
Bradley (Bessemer City, N.C. / Caldwell CC) led the Wasps to a 3-1 record last week, including a South Atlantic Conference (SAC) series win over No. 14 Wingate. Bradley hit .500 for the week with a double, five home runs, 16 RBI, seven runs scored, and two stolen bases. He finished the week with a .556 on-base percentage and a 1.500 slugging percentage.
Sharp (Bunker Hill, W.Va. / Musselman) tossed a no-hitter in Shepherd's 5-0 victory over Lake Erie College on Saturday. He struck out ten batters and walked just two. Sharp's no-hit effort was the first since 1996 and was the fourth in program history.

Founded in 1962, the NCBWA is dedicated to the advancement of college baseball. Membership is open to writers, broadcasters and publicists of the sport. Members receive a membership card, directory, newsletter updates and official votes in the Howser Award Player of the Year, Regional Player of the Year and NCBWA All-America voting. The NCBWA also sponsors preseason All-America awards, publication and writing contests.
