PEMBROKE, N.C. (NCBWA) – A seven-game win streak to close out the regular season has kept defending national champion North Greenville atop the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Division II Top 25 for the 16th-straight week, but the Crusaders made it unanimous for the sixth time this season by collecting all 20 first-place votes in Wednesday’s release.
North Greenville closed out the regular season portion of their 2023 slate with a 44-6 clip, and will be the top seed in the Conference Carolinas Tournament that begins on Wednesday in Gastonia, N.C. There were no new entries into the top 10 of Wednesday’s edition of the Top 25, with the first six teams in the listing falling into position in the same order as last week.
UNC Pembroke re-entered the NCBWA Division II Top 25 after a 4-week absence from the national ranking. UT Tyler, which won 11 of its last 14 games of the regular season, is back in the Top 25 for the first time since April 21, 2021 (Week 10)..
