Texas A&M (38-6) tops NCBWA Division I Poll

DALLAS (NCBWA) –  The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association continues its tradition of NCAA Division I polls for the 27th year with its 2024 weekly surveys.

Texas A&M, the fourth school to be ranked No. 1 this spring, is No. 1 for third consecutive week while Arkansas, Tennessee and Clemson remain Nos. 2-4. East Carolina has climbed to a season-high No. 5.

Some of the big movers from week 10 to week 11 are Oregon State from No. 11 to 7, North Carolina from No. 14 to 9, UC Irvine from No. 15 to 11, South Carolina from No. 19 to 14, Oklahoma State from No. 25 to 16, Georgia from No. 21 to 17, Mississippi State from receiving votes to No. 18 and UC Santa Barbara from receiving votes to No. 25, among others.

There have been 12 conferences (eight this week) represented in the first 10 standings of 2024, and there were 15 different conferences in the 2023 NCBWA polls.

The 2024 poll voters come from among 33 college baseball writers and related media persons from throughout the nation. The ’24 season features 305 NCAA Division I baseball-playing schools.
